The Captain Douglas House Inn and Restaurant is located in the picturesque village of Maitland, Nova Scotia. This comfortable inn and resturant is a heritage designated property built in 1860, by a sea captain named Captain William Douglas. Maitland was once the center of great ship building industry.
There are still many fine historical homes here that have been restored over the years.

our garden out back. View the Shubenacadie River from our outside
deck.Walk down to the river and see the Tidal Bore make its way up the
