MareGold Centre

The MareGold Retreat Centre is located on 32 acres of stunning oceanfront property in the village of Victoria Beach, 30 kilometres from the town of Annapolis Royal, in the southern Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. There are 10 unique cabins nestled in a private location. The MareGold Centre welcomes guests who are looking for something beyond the ordinary: a place to immerse themselves in beautiful natural surroundings, enjoy sunsets and quiet. Guests come here to unplug and enjoy the moment - this energy permeates throughout the property. None of the cabins has TVs and only one has internet. This is a place to be still, respectful and to connect with nature. Rose Cabin The Rose Cabin is our largest building with over 500 square feet of space. 100% barrier -free this cabin has a panoramic view of the MareGold fields, Point Prim lighthouse and the Bay of Fundy beyond. A large deck affords a private place to sit and watch the best sunsets in Nova Scotia. Includes; Kitchenette with small fridge and two burner cook-top. Queen bed, full accessible shower and bathtub. Parking less than 40 feet from door of Cabin. Juniper cabin This Cabin is made up of one room with a kitchenette, bathroom, bedroom, and a wood stove. There is a small deck for looking out over the fields and pond with the beautiful Bay of Fundy beyond. Constructed from locally milled spruce and re-claimed white cedar, the high walls give the cabin a bright and open feel. The perfect place to be quiet and away from everything. Private and comfortable this is the first cabin of the MareGold Centre - a future retreat centre with events, trails, gardens and healthy living. You will be able to walk the trails and access the private cove and waterfall. Watch the ferry come and go as you sit on your private deck that has the best sunsets in all of Nova Scotia. It has the feel of a tiny house as the total cabin is only 20x 18. No TV, no neighbours and quiet all to yourselves. Clock Cabin One of the off-grid tiny cabins is the Clock cabin. Perfect for one person on a quiet retreat, this cabin sits on the edge of a field next to a beautiful hardwood forest. A quiet canopy of birds, wind, and nature surrounds you in this open one-room structure. The private toilet and shower are about 150ft away. The Clock Cabin is a small ( 9x 14)cabin full of light and style. Built from reclaimed and locally milled timber, this off-grid structure has one room with an open ceiling full of sunlight and a clear roof to the sky. With a private forest view sitting on the edge of the field it is a close walk (200 ft) to the toilet and shower. Your parking for this cabin will be on the road which is 200 meters (700ft). Spruce Cabin A 15-minute walk from the road through a field and new spruce forest you will arrive at the tiny off-grid Spruce Cabin ( no power). With a view of two types of forest - old Spruce trees are ending their time and a new forest of spruce trees is coming alive it is a very private cabin. This cabin is perfect for one person wanting a simple quiet getaway. The Spruce Cabin has everything you need for your stay: towels, dishes, cutlery, and fresh bedding on a double bed. This small ( 10 x 12 ) cabin is cozy and full of light. Built from reclaimed and locally milled timber, the Spruce Cabin is an off-grid structure that has one room with a small loft with a hammock seat that is full of sunlight and a clear roof to the sky. The ladder might not be for everyone. There is a private shower and toilet 200 ft from the cabin. Your parking for this cabin will be on the road which is under 200 meters (700ft). The Spruce Cabin has everything you need for your stay: towels, dishes, cutlery, and fresh bedding on a double bed. Stage Cabin After a 15 min walk through a beautiful forest road, you find the Stage cabin. This off-grid cabin for one is located at the stage and event area of MareGold Centre. The cabin is made from locally cut lumber and reclaimed beams. Small but bright this 12x14 ft cabin has a double bed and a table. Good for one person on a retreat. Listen to the seabirds as you marvel at the best sunsets in Nova Scotia. The cabin is 20 ft from the cliff and has dramatic views from the front windows - it has the feeling of being on a ship. Star-gaze through the clear roof as you listen to the waves crash below. The toilet/shower house is located about 500 ft from the cabin via a beautiful trail through the woods. There is a BBQ for cooking and a sink for cleaning up dishes at the bathhouse. Please note that it is a 15 min walk to the cabin from the road ( parking). Bring a flashlight:) This Cabin is only for one person.
