The Ivy Green Stay Over, a quiet getaway from the daily grind, is exclusively for you to enjoy alone or with company. Whether for a comfy weekend, or to enjoy a rural revival, it's ideal for those who want to recharge yet, a close enough homebase to enjoy nearby Tatamagouche & area. This delightful tiny house is heated, has comfy beds, mini fridge, microwave, propane cook top, toaster, coffee maker, bbq, basic kitchen implements, camp fire site, drinkable artesian well water & a babbling brook to enjoy. The Stay-Over, situated on a property which was once a maple sugar farm, was built by your hosts Brian & Jane. It's charmingly rustic with all interior wood work hand-crafted by your hosts too! During your visit feel free to explore the acreage which is bordered by a babbling brook. Take a short walk on the trail to enjoy a dip in the brook's deep pools. Relax around the fire pit located to the side of the tiny house, curl up with a good read or cherish a lazy day. We all deserve a break & hope the space manages to remind folks it's entirely possible to live a simpler life. A clan of friendly and comical free range hens (no rooster) tirelessly landscape the yard, provide rich compost for the garden, dispose of kitchen scraps, handle insect control around the property and are entertaining all at the same time! We have a seasonal organic garden, raspberry patch, grape vines as well as a variety of fruit trees. Many types of birds including doves, woodpeckers & hummingbirds, visit the property and, if you are lucky, you may catch a glimpse of the fireflies shimmering about the grassy areas after dark during the summer months. We welcome a guest's Well-Behaved & House Trained Dog with prior approval as well as an additional surcharge (the surcharge is only applicable if you bring a pet). Explore the area unfettered! The tiny house has its' own entrance so you will have unlimited access to come and go as you please. It's exclusively for you to use. Late check-ins are not a problem as the house is keypad activated. Enjoy the garden area, camp fire site with outdoor table and chairs, the tranquil natural environment, babbling brook, pastoral views, surrounding forested area & the quaint Village of Tatamagouche which is within 8 minutes of The Ivy Green Stay Over.
