The Thistle Down Country Inn is Digby's only Country Inn directly on the shores of the Annapolis Basin, home to some of the highest tides in the world. Rated three and a half stars by Canada Select, and a proud member of the Nova Scotia Association of Unique Country Inns, the Thistle Down Country Inn offers the finest in relaxing Bed and Breakfast accommodations.
The main house was built in 1904 for prominent, local businessman J. L. Peters. It retains the rich detailing of the period, and its six guest rooms are sumptuously furnished with antiques and art works. All six rooms in the Harbourside Lodge (built in 1996) have views of Digby Harbour, its famous Scallop Fleet, and the Bay Ferry, Princess of Acadia, terminal.
