From the seaport of Yarmouth to the suburban reaches of Greater Halifax, the Evangeline Trail follows Nova Scotia's Fundy coast back through time to the earliest days of North American settlement. It's a journey rich in cultural diversity, charm and natural beauty. The power of nature is evident all along the coast, with its ever-changing landscape of rocky shores, fertile farmlands, salt marches and broad sand beaches. this is a region that begs to be explored, where virtually every side road leads to beauty and adventure. The Evangeline Trail follows the shore of the magnificent Bay of Fundy, whose sparkling waters and great tides make the region a naturalist's dream. Small fishing villages dot the coast, and everywhere the landscape teems with birds, wildlife and wildflowers. Long Island, Digby, the Ferry Terminal to NB and Annapolis Royal are located along the route.
